Below are some of the
links and references mentioned on this site; I believe that these are the best of the best for a broad range of opinion.

www.medialens.org : Watching the Watchers. This site keeps a weather eye on bias in the Media - and while doing so provides a different view of political and other issues. It puts some very complacent media folk on the defensive. You can have email reports on issues with the media sent to you - they come when events dictate, but on average about one every ten days. None of these has so far failed to interest me.

Private Eye Magazine (Fortnightly, UK): a sometimes satirical look at UK national and local political, media and business organisations and practices. Often first with reports by an inexplicably large margin. Some jokes.

Independent Newspaper (Daily, UK): this paper has moved away from traditional front-page reporting towards a focus on issues. Make your own judgment about its news and issue coverage - but buy it for some excellent political and social commentary by columnists from a wide range of backgrounds and experience, leavened by a few dinosaurs.

The major pressure group opposing ID cards is NO2ID: http://no2id.net
National Identity Scheme - Delivery Strategy document (late 2007):
nis-options-analysis-outcome.pdf

http://wikileaks.be is a source of classified or censored material, often from whistleblowers. It focuses on unethical or illegal behaviour in government, diplomacy and business. The site has been up for a year, and I'm not sure that it could be said to be 'established' yet. [wikileaks.org, the US site, has been closed down by a court order.]

Issues:

Apple Mac Issue: These pages are not appearing correctly on some Apple Macs: Firefox is cropping the bottom of some pages/frames. I'm working on this... It's not a problem with the provider, so either I'm doing something wrong or it's the creation programme (WebsiteX5); CAN YOU ADVISE? (Some versions of IE on Mac will not read this site legibly at all - but if you have that problem, I guess you probably aren't reading this.)

Internal Link Issue: PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH FAILED LINKS. Internal links are failing from time to time; this is a known issue with my website creator (Incomedia Website X5). I check them as often and repair them as fast as I can. When I have time, I'll invest in another programme. My advice is AVOID 'INCOMEDIA WEBSITE X5'.
